ITS USE IN ADVERTISING. NEW YORK, April 7. Tlio first advertisement ever transmitted liy telephotography, tlic new method of sending photographs by telegraph, was printed in to-day's issue of, the "New York Times" for a rubber firm, I of Akron, Ohio. | The entire advertisement, including illustrations, was transmitted by the: American Telephone and Telegraph Com-' pany, which has so far utilised the new method only for news purposes. The ' print and negative of the advertisement! were received 00 minutes after they had ! boon filed at Akron. The success of this process shows that nn advertisement prepared on one day can be printed on the next day in a dis-. tant part of the country exactly as | desired. The method enables commercial i firms to take advantage of marketing] opportunities.
