NEW ZEALAND PRODUCE.
WHAT SIR. T. MACKENZIE SAYS
PEOPLE FOR; MAORILAND
(Received 12 noon.* LONDON, April 7. Sir Thomas and Lady Mackenzie expect to arrive in New Zealand at the end of June after a rear spent in Britain. Lady Mackenzie is not yet completely restored to health. Sir' Thomas Mackenzie, .in an interview, said: "My inquiries suggest that New Zealand products are not likely to advance in price except wool, but if nmtton and lamb maintain their present prices it will be as much as we can expect under the existing conditions in Britain.
"One result of the war-time association has been to familiarise the French, the Belgians and the Italians with our produce. They are now taking considerable shipments. I believe the Dominions have in Mr. L. C. M. S. Amery a Minister whose heart and soul are in their interests. I am confident he will go as far as the limits of Mr. Baldwin's election pledges admit.
"fn reciprocal preferences. New Zealand, in developing migration, only needs to extend the present fine coordination with Britain as fully as possible in selecting and training land workers, carpenters, masons and other artisans. We can secure all we want of these essential people."—(A. and N.Z.) GREAT ARMAMENT FIRM.
NO DIVIDEND THIS YEAR. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON", April 7. Messrs. Tickers Limited's profit last year was £400,00Q, which is insufficient to give any dividend. Twelve millions is the ordinary capital. The balancesheets showed a steady decline in the profits since the war, ascribable to keen foreign competition.—(A. and N.Z.)
