Mr. ('.' J. Hainlin, assistant Instructor of Agriculture, gave an address on the working of the Stratford experimental farm. The following committee was appointed: Messrs. Colmore Williams, F. Jones. Silby, Voider, Morgan, Bagnall; .secretary and treasurer. Mr. Angus; auditor,' Mr. J. Hogg. Rules drafted by the old committee were adopted, and membership subscription was fixed at 5/. (lose, on o0 new members were elected. It was resolved to canvass for members, to have the society incorporated, ask the Government for the first £300 promised. Mr. Lewis stated that Government officials had notified him that a farm school week would be held at Dargaville from May 18 to May 23. This news was received with enthusiasm. At a subsequent meeting of the committee the Government official was elected chairman and Mr. F. Jones deputy chairman.
