PROPOSED LOAN OF £12,000 FOR THE ERECTION OF A BRANCH LIBRARY AT REMUERA. The Rody Corporate, called the Mayor, Councillors and Citizens of the City of Auckland, and the Auckland City Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE, in pursuance of Section 9 of the above-mentioned Act: — 1. That the purpose for whiah the Loan is required is the erection of a Branch Library at Remuera, together with furnishings and fittings, the approaches to the build- ' ing and the layout and treatment of the ground. 2. That the Auckland City Council, being unable to provide the necessary funds for such .vorks out of the ordinary revenues of the City, proposes to borrow a sum not exceeding £12,000. 3. That the proposed security for the repayment of such loan shall be a special rate of One-eighth of one penny (}d) in the £ upon the annual value of all ratable property in the City of Auckland. 4. That the Auckland City Council proposes to make such loan repayable at the end of twenty-one or thirty-three years from the date of issue as the Council may ieter- * mine and proposes to make provision for the payment of a Sinking Fund of not less than £1 per centum per annum. / 5.
