MOUNT ROSKILL AFFAIRS.
MEETING OF RATEPAYERS. A-large and representative meeting of Mount Roskill ratepayers was held in the Church of England Hall, Manukau Road, last evening. After a short address by Mr. R. Pcet Mr. Thatcher was elected chairman. The following committee was elected: —Messrs. Potter, Pcet, Pare, Denize, Lamont, Mason, Woodwood, Thatcher, Bigham, Bowater,, Smith, Gregory, H Wells and Hewitt. There were eight candidates nominated by ratepayers present to contest the Eoad Board election. The committee were given power to act in the matter of selecting, and the following candidates were chosen: Messrs. Lamont, Thatcher, Scarborough and Denize. They will stand in conjunction with three candidates selected by the Western Ratepayers' Association.
