PRESENTATION.
Last evening the Methodists of Takapuim tendered a valedictory social to the Rev. T. R. B. Woolloxall and family, who leave to-day for their- new charge in Whangarei. The chairman, Mr. T. B. Arthur, spoke feelingly of the good work done, and of the very fine edifice erected during Mr. Woolloxall's ministry of six years Representatives of the other churches in the borough were present. The Reva. \V. G. Mpnckton, D. J ' Albert and Nicholls made eulogistic reference to the work of Mr. Woolloxnll, while on behalf of members of the church Mr. J. Collins made a presentation to the departing minister. Messrs. Canmell and F. Songster also made presentations on behalf of the choir and Sunday school respectively. Musical items 'were included in the proceedings, which terminated with supper provided by the Guild.
