IMMIGRANT'S PASSAGES.
MARKED REDUCTIONS IN FARES. A table drawn up by the Department of Immigration shows that the new arrangement entered into by Flic New Zealand Government with the Imperial Government concerning assisted immigrants bound to New Zealand will effect a considerable difference in the charges for passengers, and the New Zealand Government will be saved a considerable sura every year, the money being found by the Imperial Government under its scheme of Imperial migration, which was determined upon at the conclusion of the war. Under the new scale of charges domestics from 18 to 40 will he carried free. Farm labourers from 19 to 45 will be earned at £11 in six-berth cabins, at £13 in four-berth cabins, and £17 in tw»berth cabins. The charges for single adults, 19 and under 50, will be £13 15/, £15 15/, and £1.9 15/ for males, and £11, £13, and £17 for females. Married adults are carried at £11, £13, and £17, according to cabin. An important concession is made in regard to children, who, when travelling with their parents, can travel free, and this includes boys up to 19 years of ago.
