NORTHERN WAIROA S.S. CO.
NEW ISSUE OF SHARES. TWO NEW STEAMERS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVILLE, this day. At a meeting of the' directors of the Northern Wairoa Steam Ship Company, held yesterday afternoon, over 1000 new shares were allotted, making a total to dati-. of over 13,000. Captain Williams, organiser, leaves to-morrow for the Bay of Islands to canvass for shares, this •being the last place for him to canvass. All other places in the North have already been completed. It was decided to purchase two boats to carry passengers and cargo (perhape butter) when sufficient funds arc in hand. It was decided to make a first call of 5/ at once. The vessels 'will leave Auckland weekly, calling at most North Auckland ports. It is hoped to start running this year.
