DAWES HAS AN ENEMY. WASHINGTON, March 0. At a public dinner to-night, in a speech which was widely broadcasted. Senator Reed, of Missouri, characterised General G. C. Dawes (Vice-President) as "a whining, bleating jackass."' He ridiculed General Dawes' manner ill his address in opening the Senate, and closed by paraphrasing Kipling's "Fuzzy Wuzzy" as a final rap at the VicePresident.
