POPE'S TOUR OF WORLDLONDON, February 11. The "Morning Tost" gives prominence to a statement to the effect that it is Undcrstod in Roman Catholic circles in England that there is considerable likelihood of a concordat being shortly reached between the Pope and Signor Mussolini (Prime Minister of Italy). In that case the Pope proposes to make a tour of the world. This is the most definite far -made on the subject, as to which there have been many previous reports. (A. and N.Z. Cable.) THE DOLE IN BRITAIN. SUM TO BE SMALLER. LONDON, February 11. It is stated in the "Daily Herald" that the Cabinet has definitely decided to use all possible administrative powers in order to reduce the aggregate amount of unemployment benefits. The Cabinet has appointed a committee to consider an amendment to the Act of 1913, empowering trade unions to impose apolitical"levy.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) ZINOVIEFFS LETTER. "A STUPID rOBGERT." PARIS, February 11. The Communist organ "Humanite" describes the alleged letter from Zinovieff, chairman of the Third (Communist) International, to M. Cachin, leader of the French Communiete,^proposing a revolt of the masses in North Africa, as a etupid forgery. It compares it with the Zinovieff letter which was published in Britain on the eve of the last general election. Tho paper accuses the anti-Com-munists of desiring to overthrow the left bloc by brandishing a forgery on the eve cf the French municipal elections.— (Reuter.)
