Alexander Gore. an octogenarian engim-er. is claiming before the Inventors' torn miss ion an award for a design for launches. He declared that the Government built 1830 of his craft, which were used to attack the Kiel Canal and other submarine bases. He added that he Spent £50,000 in experimenting. He did not submit the design to the Admiralty; consequently he was of opinion that the Admiralty acquired tbe plan through tbe Secret Service, which ransacked his ofl'icc when he was accused of being a German spy.
