A DUCKING AT DEAL.
ALL BLACKS DRENCHED. THEIR NARROW SQUEAK. (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, December 20. The All Blacks had a lively experience at Deal on Sunday. A motor boat owner took them for a trip, the sea being very rough. The footballers were drenched to the skin, and all hands had to bail to keep the boat from sinking.
The boat did actually fill and flounder as she was nearing tho chore, and all on board were tipped into the water.
Happily the boat had como in far enough to make it possible for everybody to scramble ashore in safety.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
