FOUR PEOPLE DROWNED.

CAR FALLS INTO RIVER. LONDON, December 29. Four people, including a blind man, were drowned owing to the skidding of a touring motor car containing six persons. The car broke through the bridge railings and fell 30ft into the Stokesay River, Shropshire.

Four of the occupants were pinned beneath the car, and were drowned.

The chauffeur jumped clear and escaped, while another was rescued from the river.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
