WOMAN KILLS HUSBAND
QUARREL AT BREAKFAST.

Kdward Leonard Cleggctt, a farmer, residing near Bordertown, was shot dead, nnd his wife, Muriel C'leggc.tt, has been arrested and charged with his murder. The woman is alleged to have told the police that her husband came into the kitchen demanding breakfast. He threw a pie-dish, which hit her on the head, and then threw her to the floor, saying he would kill her.
She freed herself, ran outside, and snatched a gun which her sons had just brought back from a duck shooting expedition.
George CTeggett, aged 13, loaded it for her.
When her hushunrl approached she threatened him. He replied: "Do bo," and she fired, hitting him in the shoulder. The second shot hit him in the neck, and he died before the police and doctor arrived. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
