SHOT AT CITIZEN.
HIT BROTHER BURGLAR. CURIOUS MEEBOURNE CASE. (Received 9.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Mr. Ku'iin, a resident of Caulfield, returning home early in the evening after a short absence, found a man in his bedroom. He closed with him.
Whilo the struggle was in progress a second man entered from another room revolver in hand and fired a shot.
The man with whom Kuhn was struggling released his hold and rushed outside, the second man saying he had shot his mate. He ordered Kuhn to stand still or he would shoot. He then rushed away and both escaped.
Patches of blood on the floor proved the first intruder to have been wounded. The house had been ransacked, but nothing was stolen.— (A. and N.Z.)
