A BULLET FOR KRASSIN.
MRS. DICKSON'S HISTORY.
DEPORTATION PROM PRANCE. {By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) PARIS, December 28. Mrs. Marie Dickson, the Rusiian widow of an American, who was arrested a fortnight ago when caught waiting, revolver in hand, outside the Russian Embassy to kill the Soviet Commissar of Foreign Trade, was sentenced by the Correctional Court to three weeks' imprisonment for carrying a weapon. Upon release she will be deported from France. The Communist attorney, M. Berthon, representing the Soviet Embassy, told the Court that Mrs. Dickson was also the widow of a notorious Russian agitator, Azeff, whom the Syndicalistassassinated as a traitor. The Court took cognisance of this, but refused to permit M. Berthon to enter a complaintexplaining that the woman was being tried only for carrying a weapon. Mrs. Dickson's counsel, M. Garcon, painted a tragic picture of the horror of the revolution and of the suffenngs of the, Russian masses under the Soviet regime. . (CT At this stage prisoner interjected: i wanted to save France from this same terror." . The Court, in pronouncing sentence, said* "Even were M. Krassin responsible for all the suffering under the revolution, it would not give the prisoner the right to attempt to kill him in French territory."—(A. and N.Z..)
In a statement to the police the woman said: "I came to kill Krassin. It is shameful to allow him to coma to Paris. If someone does not kill him he will kill a lot of other people and stir up a revolution in France similar to that of Russia. I was present at the Russian revolution and I saw mothers eat their children. The Bolsheviks murdered my brother before my eyes."
