Niagara, en route from Sydney and Auckland to Vancouver, arrived at Suva at 11 a.m. on Friday last. At 9.30 p.m. on Saturday the Kamo got away from Westport with a coal cargo for discharge at thiß port. She should show up here on Wednesday. H.M.s. Veronica was undocked at 7.20 this morning, and after going into the stream for a few hours she went alongside tbe Laburnum at Admiralty wharf. On arrival from Napier and Glsborne last night at 8.20, the Arahura berthed at the Princes wharf. She is expected to sail on the return trip at 5 p.m. to-morrow. Early on Saturday morning the Nobel Explosives Company's ketch Hira reached Wellington from Auckland. At Wellington the Rira will ship a freight of tar and bitumen for discharge at Auckland. WAIRCNA FROM PACIFIC COAST. The Union Company's freighter Wairuna, en route from Pacific Coast ports, will call at Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. It Is possible that the vessel will call at Auckland. OMANA TO LOAD TIMBE.R. The Lamb steamer Omana, after taking In timber at. the King's wharC left Auckland early this morning for Onenihl, Opua. and Whangaroa, to complete loading timber tor discharge at Sydney. ILLINGWORTH'S DEPARTURE. The tramp steamer lllingworth is expected to leave Auckland some time to-day for Lyttelton and Port Chalmers, where she Is to complete discharge of her cargo of sulphur from Texas. KAIAPOI FOR NEWCASTLE. The Kalapoi, which arrived from Devonport, Tasmania, on Boxing Day, is expected to complete unloading lv time to leave for Newcastle this evening to load coal for discharge at Auckland. TURAKINA AT PANAMA. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Turakina, which sailed from Napier on December 3 for London with New Zealand produce, arrived at Panama on Boxing Day. THE LEITRIM REPORTED. The L'nlon Company's steamer Leltrlm, en route from New York to Auckland and other New Zealand ports. Is reported to have reached Colon on December 20. She Is due here towards the end of January. RONA ARRIVED. The Colonial Sugar Company's steamer Rona dropped anchor in the stream at 6.25 a.m. to-day after her voyage from Fiji. She went down to Chelsea and berthed at the sugar wharf there at 0.15 to commence the discharge of her cargo of raw sugar. KUROW WITH WHEAT. The Union Company's freighter Kurow is expected to arrive at Auckland this evening with a cargo of wheat from Sydney. The vessel will discharge part of her cn.r„o here, proceeding to Lyttelton to complete discharge. NORFOLK FROM BRISBANE. The Federal line steamer Norfolk arrived in port at 10.30 last night from Brisbane, and berthed at the Queen's wharf this morning. She will take in produce here, afterwards proceeding to Napier and Wellington to complete her loading of N.Z. produce. She is expected to leave Wellington for England on January 17. PINNA ARRIVES WITH OIL. The British Imperial Oil Company's steamer Pinna arrived at Auckland on Saturday afternoon from Singapore, via Sydney, and berthed at the west side of Prince's wharf to discharge a quantltv of oil. The Pinna left Ballk Papan, Borneo, on November 27 for Auckland, but she deviated to Townsville and Sydney. Practically the whole voyage across tempestuous weather was met with. After discharge here the Pinna goes to Wellington to complete. Captain F. rowell is in command of the oil boat. VANCOUVER MAIL SERVICE. The Royal Mail steamer Makura is due at Suva on Friday, and at Auckland next Monday, from Vancouver. From Auckland the vessel goes to Sydney, where she will be withdrawn for overhaul and survey, which will necessitate her missing a voyage i. O vX? n . col ' vor - The Royal Mall steamer lnbltl Is scheduled to leave San Francisco on W eduesday for Wellinjrton, where she is due on January 10. At Wellington the lahitl will be withdrawn from the San Francisco service, and her passengers and mail for Sydney will be transferred to the Maramn. The Tahiti will afterwards come to Auckland from Wellington, and she will be dispatched from this port on January 27 for Vancouver, in place of the Makura. From Vancouver the Tahiti goes to San Francisco, where she will resume her former service. The southern trip to New Zealand will be taken by the company's new motor liner, the Aorangi. She is scheduled to leave Vancouver on February 6 for Honolulu. Suva and Auckland. From this port the Aorangi goes to Sydney, via Wellington.
TOFUA FROM THE ISLANDS. The Union Company's Island passenger steamer Tofua arrived this morning from Fiji. Tonga and Samoa at 5.20, and anchored in the stream, afterwards berthing at the Prince's wharf to disembark her passengers. She cleared Auckland on Saturday, December 6, at noon, and made the usual ports of call. Smooth seas, with light winds and good weather, were experienced during the voyage. Warren and 2 children. The Tofua is expected to sail on Saturdnv next at 11 a.m. on her return to the Islands. ARRIVAL OF THE KERETU. The Union Steamship Company's new intercolonial cargo steamer Keretu unexpectedly arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon from Liverpool, with a cargo of salt for discharge at Auckland and Lyttelton. A steel, sin.le screw steamer of 3233 tons gross, the Keretu was built by W. Gray and Company, Ltd., at West Hartlepool, and was launched on September 15 last. She has a length of 310 feet, a beam of 46.5 feet, with a depth of 23.7 feet. The Keretu Is a well-deck steamer having a bridge deck, poop and forecastle head. Raised platforms fitted with winches for working cargo are Installed in the well decks. The vessel sailed from Liverpool on November 8, and met with stormy weather conditions for the first week. Afterwards she ran into fine weather, and Colon was reached on November 29. The following day Balboa was cleared, and a fair weather passage was made, across the Pacific to Auckland. At Auckland about 1200 tons of salt will be discharged, and the balance at Lyttelton. DEPARTURE OF RIMTJTAKA POSTPONED. The departure of the New Zealand Shipplug Company's liner Riinutaka, from Auckland for New York. Boston, and England, has been postponed until January 20. The vessel is at present loading at Southern ports. Passengers will embark at Auckland.
