KINDNESS OF CHINESE.
• The proverbial kindness of the Chinese residents of Auckland has this year been extended even to the unfortunate prisoners at Mount Eden gaol. To-daf a large quantity of fruit was delivered to the prison on their behalf by til Rev. W. Mawson.
