OBITUARY.
MR. J. F. LOWRY. The interment took place this morning at Waikaraka Cemetery 0 £ th* remains of Mr. James Francis I__.n--wbo resided at Dedwood Terrace. Pun. sonby. A service was held at the Sacred Heart Church before the cortege kit. Mr. Lowry was 5S years of age and was a composiitor by trade, " and was at one time on the __a_t of the "New Zealand, Herald." He was at different times a member ol the choirs at St. Patrick.., St. Benedict's, and the Sacred Heart C_m_______ Mr. Lowry belonged to the Loyal Good Intent Lodge, and was also a hie member of the West End Rowing dab. England, where be was a medical practitioner. Dr. Stewart wa. trained at Milton, and tlie Otago Boyv' High School, and went through the" University. where he took his de•Tees. He wa. house surgeon at Dunedin Hospital for two years, and served during the whole peTiod of the war in Egypt in his medical capacity. He wa-.. not released until a year after tbe Armistice. He then set up practice in Rugby. England, and at the time of his death" was surgeon in the Rugby ospital. Mr. John Stewart, of Riverside Station. Clinton, is tho only surviving brother H. D. Stewart is other brother) having been killed in Belgium.
