C J. rarr. accompanied by the Mayor nf Takapuna, Mr. .1. VY. Haydenf \£ several members ot the borough council inspected various sites in the vicinity of Lake Takapuna. It is probable that as a result of the inspection, the area recently secured by the Takapuna borough council for a recreation reserve part of the Adams estate, and close to the public school, will be acquired for the grammar school. If that should be decided upon, the borough council will purchase with the proceeds a larger area in Northcote Road containing a beautiful piece of bush This property is at present owned by Captain Smith.
