SAMOAN CHIEFS.
VISIT TO AUCKLAND. A TRIP TO THE ZOO. The following provisional programme for the entertainment of the eight fisitmg Samoan chiefs in Auckland has leen arranged by the Secretary of External Affairs and approved by the City Council: — December 3, civic reception by the Mayor, Sir James Gunson. December 27, tour of the city, visits to the city destructor, Myers "Kindergarten and playground, and a visit to the /00, or to view a cricket match. December 20, all-day visit to Nihotapu water and forest reserve, extending to Pina Beach if the weather permits. One or two days were kept open for the inspection by the party of other municipal and local body activities. The Government is to bo asked to provide all the motor ears necessary for the entertainment of the visitors," excepting two.
