SULPHUR BEACH, NORTHCOTE.

(To the Kditor.) Sir, —I was pleased to see the letter by "Civic" on the above subject, as I consider that to reduce in size any of our beaches unnecessarily is a retrograde step, and particularly as the part of Sulphur Beach in question is by far the safest and most sheltered for children paddling and bathing. I trust that at the next meeting of the Council the matter will be further considered, and that wiser counsels will prevail.—l am, etc., RATEPAYER.
