. HRESBZTEEIAN ACTIVITIES. (By Tclcgra-ph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. The Presbyterian General Assembly today received the reports o£ the committee on Bible teaching in schools, which recommended the Assembly to express thanks to Mr. L. 11. Isitt for introducing the Bible in Schools Bill, also to the Prime Minister, Minister of Education, and other members of Parliament who supported it, also to affirm continued adherence to the programme of the bill. It was decided to refer to tho Public Questions Committee a clause instructing the Bible in Schools Committee to unite in efforts to secure the election of members at next election favourable to Bible teaching in schools.
