The Methodist S>Tiod now in cession here passed the following resolution: — "Realising that the middle Usuc on the licensing ballot papers is discounted hy the voters of thie Dominion, as demon strated by past election record*, th« Synod cafis for its elimination before the next poll, and emphatically protests against any attempt heing made to replace it by the introduction of th« suggested corporate control issue believing the latter to be unfair an.l undemocratic in principle, and thwarting the possibilities of a straightforward issue on this very vital and important question."
