COCKATOO ALARM.

BURGLARS LEAVE WITHOUT BOOTY. LONDON, November 4. The value of cockatoos as alarms lias again been emphasised. An Australian bird, which called out "Hullo, what are ; you doing there?" scared away burglare from the Byfleet Manor House. The burglars escaped in a motor with minor booty, leaving £1000 -worth of valuables packed for removal. Another cockatoo last year gave the alarm of fire and saved a household.
