A very determined suicide occurred at Hamilton, about ti.HO on Saturday evening. In a clump of gorse at the upper end of Grey Street, a little girl saw a man. minus collar and tie. on hi* hands and knees, with blood streaming from a large gash in his throat. She immediately informed her parent?, who rang up the police. Constable Kirliv arrived on the. scene to find a mnn crawling about with his shirt drenched with blood. The man was conscious, and nodded his head in answer to the constables remarks. but lie was inarticulate, and expired a few seconds before a doctor arrived. 1 A few feet away was found a blood stained razor and deceased's collar and tie. There \va-; nothing whatever about his person to disclose his indentity. He. was about oft fin tall, of sturdy build, | with ruddy tan complexion, reddish 1 moustache, grey hair, and a short nose turned slightly to one side. He was j wearing a suit of light grey material, I which bore the. mark of Smith and |('aughcy, and had on black shoes and 1 socks. ' The corpse was removed to the : hospital mortuary, where it remaine I awaiting identification.
