EDENDALE CLUB.
Tlie Edendale green is to be opened informally on Saturday, and a tournament is to oe played on Labour Day (single entries). During the winter a, new two-atorey clubhouse has been erected, principally by the voluntary laiour of a number of the members, and the 'building ia a credit to them. The green is looking well, and is expected to play well. The officials of the club, led by Mr. Phil T. Birch (president) and Mr. Geo. Clements (secretary) are very keen, and, with the co-operation of the members are aibout to make ithe club as popular among bowlers as any in Auckland. |iA few members have left since last .season, 'but there has been a large influx of new members, including some who were formerly with ■the club. As the trams will be running past the green this [season, the membership is expected soon jto reach the limit of the green accommodation.
GREY LYNN CLUB.
Tlie official opening of the Grey Lynn Club's green takes place on Saturday. On Labour Day (Monday) a full rink tournament will be held consisting of IS teams. The tournament will start at 'J a.m. Three rounds of twenty-one heads will he played In three sections. The green is in perfect order.
