Ie * PEKIXG. September 21. At a meeting called by Marshal Chang ' Tso-lin at Mukden, at which the consul ! and other foreigners were present, Chang said that his protection for all foreigners and their property, was : adequate as long as he held hi 3 position jin Manchuria. He asked all foreigners to leave Chinwangtoo station, the '! enemy stronghold, as he intended to .. ■ bomb it. ?j Chang also asked that the foreign gun boats at Shan_hai-knan and Chinwangtoo ! should be ordered to stand clear, as he j intended to bomb the enemy gunboats | there.
