Chargedwith being disorderly while drunk, Grey was fined £1, in default three days. . A WINDOW -SMASHER. i David Wright, alias John Davi3 (4S), I pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, and another of wilfully damaging four panes of glass valued at £13 3/6, the property of A. E. Neville. Senior Sergeant Rawle stated that a few n_inute3 after 6_x o'clock lost night accused and another man who were lighting, were ejected from the Alexandra Hotel. A few minutes later the licensee hearing sounds ot breaking glass, went outside and saw accused with a paling in his hand smashing the fourth, window. Wright had no money, but 55 previous convictions. He was sentenced to one month's imprisonment on the second charge, and for drunkenness he was lined 5/ or 24 hours. A HOPELESS CASE. "Can I go to the Island for six months, your Worship. 1 think it would do mc good, sir," was the request of Ernest Edward Cuthbertsoh Maxey (45), charged with drunkenness and also with procuring liquor while prohibited. Mr. Hunt: Yes, I don't think the Island would do yon any harm, you are pretty shaky. The Senior Sergeant: Accused has 30 convictions all arising out of drunkenness, and he has lieen on the Island on four occasions already. Maxey is a hopeless case. Accused was remanded for one week's qiedical treatment. INDECENCY. For being found drunk in Wyndham Street last night, John Robertson was find 5/ or 24 hours' imprisonment, and for committing a grossly indecent act he was fined 10/ or 48 hours.
