Evidence was given by an assistant, Douglas Robert that Hart instructed him , not to wear an apron when in the shaft tunnel. Both he and Hart wore aprons yesterday. Mr. Mdwlem sai'd'that not the faintest blame was attachable to the management. Hart acted in contravention of his own instructions It seemed as if the men-took the risk and they would have to]pay the penalty
