ORDERS FROM GERMANY. LONDON, September 19. Best qualities of butter are very firm, but other sorts are slow. Danish lias advanced to 224/. It is reported that the Germans have bought 12,000 casks of Danish this week. New Zealand choicest, salted, is quoted at 208/ to 210/; exceptional quality at 212/. Unsalted has been cleared. Australian, salted, is quoted at 198/ to 200/; unsalted at 208/. Siberian, best, is offered at 164/ to 17G/. Cheese is dull. New Zealand, white, ie quoted at 92/ to 93/; coloured, at 00/ to 92/. Australian, coloured, is offered at 88/,— (A. and N.Z. Gable.) Last week's report stated: Butter is in slow demand. New Zealand, choicest salted, is quoted at 205/ to 200/; Australian, 194/ to 200/. Siberian is weak at 156/ to 170/; Danish, 212/. The cheese market is quiet. New Zealand, coloured, is quoted at 92/; white, 94/The following cablegram, from London, dated September 18, has been received by Mr. W. W. Bowker, managing representative for New Zealand for Messrs. A. J. Mills and Co., Ltd.: The butter market is firm and very excited owing to Germany buying.
