pTEWTON' SCHOOLS' COMMITTEE EVENT. j At a. largely-attended meeting in St. •. Peter's Clvureh, Grey. Lynn, recently, i recognition was made of the valuable • work done by four ex-members of the Xewton Schools' Committee. Mr. Kerr, chairman of the comniitise, presided. Mr. -Jolm Jenkinson, : who was chairman of the Xewton Schools' Committee lor 30 years, was presented with a certificate by Mr Walter. Mr. Jenkin suitably repl-fiU. Councillor F. Brindsen. wbo was a member of the committee for 21 years, and chairman for eight years, was also hanSed a certiJlcate by the Rev. Mr, llalliday, and al.iy respondod. Two other certificates were presented, by Mr. D. Bradley, one to Mr, If. Donald, who was a member for seven years, during two of which , « 3 act«d ios cliairman, and the other *»y Mr. C.
