WONDERFUL RESTORATION. DEVASTATED AREAS NORMAL. NINETY THOUSAND BUILDINGS. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrbint.) (Received 12 noon.) LONDON, September 14. A report from Belgium shows that out of over 100,000 houses destroyed by the Great War, 90,000 have been rebuilt. These include 1150 public buildings out of 1170 destroyed, and the whole of the 350 schools which were ruined. An area comprising upwards of 34,000 acres of devastated land has been restored to normal. Hence the work of land restoration may be regarded as practically finished.—("Sun.")
