CHINA V. NEW ZEALAND. VISITORS AGAIN DEFEATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHKISTCHURCH, Saturday. The fourth Soccer test, New Zealand v. China, was played to-day in fine weather. China won the toss, and New Zealand kicked off against the wind. New Zealand attacked. Pao, leaving his goal, kicked up-field, then China attacked, the forwards showing pretty footwork. Wang tested Ewing with a shot at goal, which failed. The New Zealand forwards broke away, but good footwork by Chen relieved. Play was stopped temporarily owing to Wu receiving an injury. On play being resumed, pretty footwork by the Chinese put them into a scoring position, and Jap netted with a fine kick in the corner. China 1, Sew Zealand nil. From the kick off New Zealand attacked, but Campbell shot wide, and the ball went behind. New Zealand broke away. Newman followed up hard. He had only Pao to beat, but shot wide. Play at this stage was fast, and changed ends quickly. The Chinese were particularly good with footwork. Ballard centred nicely to Lothion, who headed it into the net, giving Pao no chance. In a series of attacking movements New Zealand had several shots at goal, but tne shooting was wild. New Zealand attacked, and from a melee in front of the goal Jones attempted a shot, which Liang headed over the bar. From a corner kick China carried play to the other goal, but wild shooting spoilt a good opportunity. After uninteresting play, New Zealand attacked. Ballard swung the ball in from the left wing, but Cheng cleared. Newman came through fast, and netted with a magnificent shot.
