BEAM WIRELESS.
MARCONI AND AFRICA. (Received 10.30 a.m.) CAPETOWN, September 5. In the Assembly the Minister of Posts »nd Telegraphs stated that the Government agreed to the extension for six months of the South African Marconi Wireless Company in order to try w hether the beam system meets with the requirements of the South African service. He also stated that at present it w as not intended to revert to penny Postage owing to the loss that -would be entailed.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.)
