Captain Pearson, of the Orepuki, has informed the Marine Department that on AVednesday afternoon he sighted a waterlogs;ed punf, about 30 miles off Cape Esmont in lat. SOdcs 4miu south and lonif. lT.'ides 23mia east. Tins punt is considered dangerous to iiaviiratiou. and masters of vessels passing in the vicinity are urged to keep a strict look out.
