ONEHUNGA TOWN BAND.
The Onehunga Borough CounalpM decided to assist the local band to obt»a a new -set of instruments.. The All* land City Band has offered their Sll« r instruments for the sum of £450.' * addition to the instruments there H * music library, valued at £40,. ft «' w upholstered "seats, music stands, cupboard, and 26 uniforms. The l» tter8 T almost new, and can be converted to W design used by the Onehunga Band. i«J Borough Council will advance the »>» £100, to be paid upon receipt of the instruments, and will guarantee to WJ the balance of £3.0 in eight, monts* time, and to pay H per cent interest o" that amount until it is paid- Vj course this money is only a loan to "* band to enable it to secure tie iwu ll ' ments at once. ~ Te Band Committee has pledged lt«* to raise the money and refund it to » Borough Council. *
