EXPLOSION OF GELIGNITE.
YOUNG LABOURER INJURED
MAY LOSE HIS SIGHT.
(S.- Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A young labourer, William Hughes, aged 30, employed by the Public Works' Department at Toetoe, waa firing t. charge of gelignite when it exploded prematurely. He was severely burned about the face. He was admitted to the Waikato Hospital, where the extent Of injury to the eyes has not yet been ascertained; probably he may' lose his eight.
