Tate made ~5, ibeing once missed in tho deep field, which was the only dropped catch cf the day. The Africans began well on a Wet wicket, "Nourse and Ward putting on 141 for the third Wicket. Wool lev and Reli, after the toa adjournment," were responsible for the collapse of the Visitors, wUcketß only adding 54 runs. The drying wicket was most difficult.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
