(Received 2.30 p.m.] LONDON, September 4. j A sudden rush of gas killed five and uijured two night shift miners in Ponthehry Colliery, Wales. Violent Wast extinguished their lamps' The smallness of the number of deaths was one to tlie fact that the survivors namcrscd their faces in a small waterIjourse or used their caps as respirators.
