COMMUNITY SINGING.

FIRST NIGHT SESSION. Thursday night next will see an innovation in community singing in Auckland, when the first night meeting will take place. Owinj* to the success of the mid-day meetings, and the fact that the committee has been asked so often to extend the season, the night .-essions are being tried, to give opportunity to tlio.se who have been unable to attend at mid-day. There will be several song leaders and accompanists on Thursday, and with, a comprehensive programme of old favourites and new songs the "cheer germ" should be as active in Auckland as ever. One of the new items is a "Capstan. Chanty," which should achieve immediate popularity.
