HAVE WE FORGOTTEN?
I (To tUe Editor.) Sir, —Lord Hdig states that thousands of the men who /ought in the war and their families are in great need of help. Not only is this the case in England, , but it is right here at our own door ' and plenty of it, and the present Government are the ones who are answerable for the way returned soldiers are treated in this country of ours. There are a great many returned soldiers whose health has broken down but who are unable to get a military pension, i being met with the excuse that they are not suffering from wnr disabilities Many of these cases are passed on to the ratepayers for food and shelter for themselves and families. One lunrs on that very sacred day, Anzae T)uy, about the glorious dead, but nothing about the miserable wretches who are unable to battle for a crust. There is no one who even takes the trouble to look into such eaees. —I am, etc., j OXE OF THE FORGOTTEN.
