HON. PARRS APPEAL. 1-WITATION' TO LIBERALS. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star. - ") ■WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Following up his recent attack upon the Liberal party, the lion. C. J. Parr, in the House to-niglit, issued a va.rninS against thn Labour party. The great quarrel, he *aid, was not between Kcform and Liberals; the great issue was that of socialism or non-socialism. Mr. Holland: Do you know what it i«? Mr. I'arr: What this party will ask is that it shall le pur-ported because it is the s-ure shield and defence against ilie machinations of socialism in this country. (Labour laughter.) Mr. *l>. (!. .Sullivan (Avon): If you are the defence, God help the country. Mr. Parr: We shall oppoe it as long as ab'e. Mr. 1-er: That won't be long. There was no difference in political thought, philosophy, or principle between them and Reform. Mr. Sullivan: You recognise tbem as brothers. Mr. Parr: Certainly, and I think you do also. Mr.'Sullivan: Hoar, hear.
