INCOME TAX DROP.

PREDICTION BY MINISTER. HALF OF 8/4. (By Telegraph.—l'arliamentnrr Reporter.) , WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The Minister of Education (the Hon. C. J. Parr) gave a fairly definite idea of the Government's intention in regard to the reduction of income tax, when answering the criticism of Mr. T. M. Wilford, regarding the failure to disclose the Government's policy in the Budget. !Mr. Parr declared that the coming reduction of income tax would bring it to a point not more than half of what it was three years ago. '"'That, I think, is probably a record for any of the Dominions, that in three years we have been able to bring the income tax down from 8/0. to such a figure as is within a reasonable margin of half." * ' 1
