RESISTING THE POLICE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, Monday. Following the arrest of a native named Davy Turner for drunkenness on Saturday, two other natives appeared in Court to-day. Henare Tai was charged with having used obscene language and resisted the police, and Puhi Maniapoto with having obstructed the police. The Court fined Tai £5, and Maniapoto £1. Turner,, who did not appear, was fined 10/.
