JUNIOR REPS. J JIAXCKAU V. WAIUKU. A junior representative game between Munukuu and Waiuku was played at Pnpakura on Saturday in cold and windy weather. The ground was in good condition for football. Waiuku. -tred and black) kicked off. and pressed to the M.inukau's (amber and Muck) 25. where Fuhcy relieved. From the line-out the yellows pressed. Cnmniins hung on to the ball, and a. try was thrown away. The yellows again attacked, but the reds fullback saved with a neat mark. Manukau started a passing bout, but overeagerness cost them another try for a knock-on. The reds forced their way to Manukau's 2P. where tilings looked dangerous, but a wild pasa threw away a try. From the line-out the reds broke through, and Richardson, foolishly passing the ball in his own 23, let the reds through, and they scored near the post. The kick at goal failed. Waiuku 3, Manukau 0. From the kick-off the ambers pressed. From a scrum the ambers hooked it cleanly, and Slack, sending on to Allan, the latter dived across to score a fine try. Manukau 3. Waiuku 3. From the kick-off the reds forced to the ambers 25, but the ambers drove them back to their own 23. Hern the reds were too fast around the serum, and the ambers were awarded A freu kick. W. Keaeb, with a fine kick, goaled. A series of loose play followed, but the umbers soon broke through, and a free kic-k for the reds saved them. Soon after half-time sounded with the scores: Manukau S, Waiuku 3. The second half saw the ambers attacking Strongly, and Flannagan, breaking away, passed to Lawless, but the latter, hanging on to the ball, was upended before he got far. Up to now P. Hogan was by far the best forward on the field. He was always on the ball, and was very unlucky not to have scored several times. Hogan, breaking through from a line-out, scored near the corner. The reds now carried the ball to the ambers 20, and Keach, with a fine kicfc, saved the situation. With the ball at halfway the whistle sounded for the last quarter. From the change over tue ambers had the game their own way, and they took everything before them; the pack worked well, and were far too heavy for the reds to hold. The ambers attacked, and W. Keach. running through, passed on to Fahey, the latter cutting in scored near the corner. From the kick-off the ambers came again, and Slack, punting high, followed up, and catching the ball on the bounce dived across and scored near the posts. From the kickoff the ambers came again, and for an infringement were awarded a free kick, from which W. Keach landed a fine goal. Soon after the game ended with the score: Manukau 18, Waiuku 3.
