Suourbs continued to press, the forwards playing with great vim. but strong defensive tactics kept them out. Charter eventually clearing witb a dribbling rim. The relief, however, was only momentary, ajid tbe local forwards were soon back nnd pressing for a score. Lincoln and Don were responsible for good runs which just failed lo gain their objectives. Grey had an unsuccessful shot from the field. College forcing. When the change over for the last quarter came. King's bad worked their way to half-way. tsing the wind to advantage, the visitors penetrated enemy territory where a scrum was ordered. Heard secured and the oval travelled along tbe line to Robson, who passed Infield on being tackled. The pass, however, was forward and King's were penalised. Then the borne vanguard, with Hooker (who had come on again after receiving n knock in the first half), f'lcndon and Abel in the lead, swept down the lipid to King's line where Don picked up and touched down, but the try was not allowed, a scrum being ordered.
