THE LEAGUE CODE.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. SECOND ROUND TO-MORROW. The senior compete itions under the auspices of the Auckland Rugby League will be continued to-morrow, when a start will be made on the second round. The trouble between the A.R.L. .and the ..City Club will receive further consideration this evening, when the Newton Club will hold a special meeting, and it is hoped that the objection to the transfer of Brown , to the City Club will be withdrawn. If this is done the star attraction to-morrow will be between Marist Brothers and City, and this should be the club match of the season. On No. 2 ground, Richmond will meet Athletics, while at Devouport, Ponsonby will only need to be at full strength ' beat the home team, unless the latter give a much better display than against Marists on Saturday last. At Ellerslie the local team will try conclusions with Mangere, and a close game should result. Teams:— . DEVONPORT UNITED. Seniors. — Taylor, Hand, Monritifh, Harper, B, Laing, Webb.
