FINED FOR INDECENCY.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, this day. A young man named Harry Bell, a' labourer employed by the Public Works Department, was apprehended by the police on arrival of the Frankton-i'aeroa i train at Paeroa last night, and was brought before Messrs. W. Marshall and P. 15. Breiuian, justices, in Court this morning, charged with drunkenness, with having committed .a grossly indecent act in a railway carriage, and with indecent exposure at Paeroa railway platform, i Accused was convicted on all counts. He i was discharged on the first and third charges. On the second ho was lined £5 and costs 5/, in default three months' i imprisonment. Nothing against Bell had previously been known to the police. i Bell, who elected to be dealt with siraiI marily, pleaded guilty to the charge of drunkenness, and expressed himself sorry for his conduct. j
