JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS.
The proposal from Whangarei that a junior high school be established in association with the existing district high school has received the approval of the Minister of Education. Information to this effect was put before tho Auckland Education Board to-day in a (communication which intimated that in towns of intermediate size the Department was favourable to the junior high schools being associated with existing senior high schools, and that the regulations were likely to be amended to provide therefor.
